Tottenham Hotspur FC Training Centre Pitch Seven Perimeter Artificial Turf Install

Fineturf successfully completed the installation of an artificial turf strip along the perimeter of Pitch Seven at the Tottenham Hotspur Training Ground. The works were undertaken to improve winter pitch protection operations, specifically to accommodate the placement and storage of frost sheets during colder months.

The perimeter area to Pitch Seven was accurately set out to the agreed line and levels. Existing materials were excavated and removed to the required formation depth.

A reduced fines stone sub-base was supplied and installed in layers, with each layer compacted to achieve a stable and free-draining foundation. A blinding layer of 2–6 mm grit was then applied and levelled to provide a smooth and consistent bedding surface.

An in-situ shock pad was supplied and installed to the specified thickness. Once cured, a short-pile artificial carpet was supplied and installed, ensuring tight joints, correct alignment, and seamless integration with the surrounding pitch perimeter.

The surface was completed with the application of a sand infill, brushed into the carpet fibres to achieve the required performance characteristics and a consistent finished appearance. Final checks confirmed compliance with specification, levels, drainage, and overall surface quality.
