Administrative Assistant

Fineturf is a leading, long-established, UK based sports turf contractor specialising in the construction of natural grass surfaces for sport. We regularly complete contracts at the country’s top sports stadia. We’re looking for a Administrative Assistant to join our team in Lincolnshire. This is a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and is willing to succeed in a administrative role.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Managing Director with typing quotations.
  • Dealing with email customer enquiries.
  • Staff accommodation bookings.
  • Manage personnel files and holiday tracking.
  • To receive, sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Raise sales invoices and take electronic payments.
  • Dealing with telephone customer enquiries.
  • General office organisation including ordering supplies & stationery.
  • Organising filing systems and updating office databases.
  • Type quotations, reports, documents and correspondence.
  • Procurement of contracting materials.
  • Collate and reconcile staff expenses.
  • Monitor and arrange Fineturf Vehicle Service & MOT’s.

Essential Competence & Training

  • Ability to work under own initiative & within a team.
  • Good time keeping, hardworking and ability to prioritise workload are essential.
  • Experience in an Admin based role
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Managing time and prioritising work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of people, from customers and suppliers to Senior Managers and Directors both verbally and through written communication.

Desirable Competence & Training

  • Minimum qualification- GCSE
  • Grade C or above in English & Maths

HGV Driver

Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a new opportunity? Fineturf, a leading UK based sports turf contractor, is seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Driver to join our team in Lincolnshire. We specialise in the construction of high-quality natural grass surfaces for top sports venues across the country.

In this role, you will be responsible for loading and transporting equipment, ensuring safe and timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading equipment and preparing for upcoming projects
  • Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of equipment and materials
  • Operating low loaders for the safe and efficient transport of equipment
  • Handling bulkers and curtain sided vehicles for various delivery tasks
  • Performing necessary vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and reporting defects accurately
  • Adhering to driver working time regulations and safety compliance
  • Effectively communicating with team members, customers, and senior management

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid HGV licence with up-to-date CPC qualification & tacho card
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report any defects correctly
  • Commitment to health and safety compliance
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
