Woking Football Club Goalmouth Repair & Re-Turfing Works

March 2026

Fineturf were recalled to carry out an in-season goalmouth replacement at Woking Football Club to restore the high-wear areas and ensure the pitch remained at the required playing standard.

To gain access and protect the surrounding surface, the pitch was fully boarded before works commenced. The team then removed approximately 40mm of the existing material within the goalmouth area, working slightly wider than the goal posts and extending out to the 18-yard line.

Once the worn surface was removed, the ground was carefully prepared and levelled. A 6.5.18 fertiliser was applied at a rate of 35g per square metre to encourage rapid establishment and root development.

Fineturf then supplied, delivered and installed Tillers Hybrid Turf, ensuring a seamless integration with the existing pitch surface. The area was then rolled, levelled and snagged to ensure the finish met professional playing standards.

The works were completed and prepared in time for a pitch inspection the following day. Upon completion, all boarding was removed and the surrounding car park and work areas were thoroughly cleaned and swept, leaving the site tidy and match-ready.
