Rutland Agricultural Society Drainage Installation

July 2015

The Rutland Agricultural Society has held annual shows since it's formation in 1831. A new housing development on their old show ground site resulted in a move to a new location which now hosts the annual show along with football and rugby matches.

During this project we were asked to install primary drainage in the showfield ready for future drainage works. Our new Mastenbroek 1012D was used to excavate the trenches which installs the drainage pipe in the same pass. A custom built Househam sand and gravel spreader topped up the trenches. A drainage trench compaction wheel was used following the first pass of sand backfilling.
