Papworth Everard Council Football Pitch Maintenance

Fineturf have just completed the end of season maintenance works for Papworth Everard parish council on 1 full size and 4 junior football pitches.

Using our custom built sand spreader, 100 tons of sports sand was spread onto the pitches and brushed in. The drainage lines were also topped up using a 50:50 rootzone. The sports sand application helps to remove surface irregularities, undulations and divots from the previous seasons play.

The pitches were aerated using a Wiedenmann Terra Spike fitted with 19mm solid tines, which relieves compaction and improves surface drainage.

Finally, the pitch surface was overseeded using a Vredo Disc Seeder and the drainage lines with a Blec Cultipack both with Limagrain MM60 and a Humber Palmers 14:6:8 fertiliser applied at 35gm2.
