Epsom Downs Racecourse Parade Ring Turf Installation
Epsom Downs is a Grade 1 racecourse in Surrey which is used for thoroughbred horse racing. The "Downs" referred to in the name are part of the North Downs. The course is best known for hosting The Derby.
Each year the parade ring at Epsom Racecourse is turfed in preparation for the busy racing season. 40mm thick cut turf is installed on top of a block paved car park to create the parade ring. The course ground staff ensure the turf remains healthy and is watered throughout the spring and summer. The area is approximately 1200m2.
