Bedford Square Gardens Landscaping and Pathway Drainage

January 2017

Bedford Square, Bloomsbury, is surrounded by its original Georgian terrace houses and is home to a stunning private garden. A pathway within the garden was flooding and having worked for Camden Borough in the past we were asked to resolve the issue.

Three new gully pots were installed along with an attenuation tank. The gully pots were connected to the tank which was wrapped in a Terram membrane and surrounded with gravel.

During the summer the garden hosted a number of events and the impact these had had on the grass was evident. Prior to our arrival the lawns were sprayed. We heavily aerated and relieved the compaction by two passes with a Wiedenmann and two passes with an Earthquake. The area was cultivated, prepped and Tillers Arena big roll installed.
