Ascot Racecourse Parade Ring & Winners Enclosure Reconstruction

February 2026

Fineturf were proud to return to Ascot Racecourse in late February 2026 to undertake a major refurbishment of the parade ring and winners enclosure, delivering a complete reconstruction and resurfacing across 2,150 square metres.

Works began with the removal of the existing hedges and the stripping of the old turf, fully clearing the area ahead of reconstruction. With the site prepared, new irrigation pipework and heads were installed throughout, ensuring the surface would benefit from a modern, efficient watering system going forward.

The original material was then cultivated and laser graded to establish a precise and even base. 100mm of 70/30 rootzone was imported and spread across the full 2,150 square metre area before a further laser grading operation was carried out, ensuring a consistently true and level profile throughout.

A 6.5.18 fertiliser was applied ahead of turfing to promote strong early root establishment. Fineturf then supplied, delivered and installed Tillers Arena Gold Shortcut Turf in big roll format, providing a premium finish befitting one of the most prestigious venues in British racing. The turf was carefully rolled on completion and the area handed over to the client for ongoing grow-in and maintenance.

Our team once again delivered works to the highest standard at Ascot, combining precision groundworks with premium materials to create a parade ring and winners enclosure that will perform and present beautifully throughout the season ahead.
