Notts Golf Club Hollinwell Drill and Fill

In August we returned to Notts Golf Club Hollinwell having visited in March to drain the 2nd fairway. The heathland course is considered one of the finest in the country.

During the project we aerated all 18 greens using a drill and fill machine. Aeration in this way will increase root growth, aid water percolation and relive compaction. Drill and fill also ensures the greens are straight back in play and the excellent recovery time results in the holes being undetectable in a few days.

The holes were backfilled with DA30 dry sand and the greenkeepers completed the renovation by overseeding the greens.
