Fineturf are highly experienced in sports turf production and fully equipped for sports turf installation on any natural sports turf surface; in particular golf courses and football pitches.
Production
Fine turf offer three types of custom grown turf for use on football pitches.
- Reinforced Turf - Grown on rootzone and interlaced with polypropylene fibres; reinforced turf provides a hard wearing, stable sports turf surface without comprising surface drainage.
- Rootzone Turf.
- Indigenous Sand Soil.
Fineturf offer two types of turf for use on golf greens.
- Turf grown on USGA rootzone
- Turf grown on Indigenous Sand Soil
Fineturf offer a number of options for turf to be used on golf tees.
- 100 % Ryegrass
- Tall Fescue mix
- Rye smooth stalk Fescue
- Bent Fescue smooth stalk
Installation
Big roll sports turf is harvested between 10mm and 40mm thick, 750mm and 1200mm wide and upto 25m long. These big rolls cover between 16½-20m² resulting in fewer joints with a reduction in turf displacement during use. Fine-turf operate under the premise of "install and playball" which is ideal for mid season restoration of football pitch goal mouths and centre circles.
Fineturf use bespoke tractor mounted equipment for the onsite transportation and installation of rolls of this size. All tractors have low pressure tyres ensuring minimal damage and compaction of surrounding areas. A tin machine is also available where limited accessability and manoeuvring space are factors.
Turf tiles covering ¾m2 are an ideal solution to repair football pitch goal mouths and centre circles.
