Thringstone Bowling Club Renovation
Fineturf have just completed the renovation of the Bowling Green for Thringstone Bowls Club. Following this season the club decided the bowling green was in need of a full renovation to remove surface irregularities and improve the growing medium and drainage.
Whitgift School Sports Pitch Levelling and Renovation
In July 2011 Fineturf commenced work at Whitgift School, in South Croydon, on a 20,000m2 playing field levelling and renovation project.
City of Lincoln School Long Jump Construction
During 2010, Fineturf completed the construction of a 60,000m2 playing field at the City of Lincoln School, for Balfour Beatty. Fineturf have since returned to the site to install a long and triple jump as part of the facilities.
Attenuation Tank Installation Priory Academy LSST Lincoln
As part of Fineturf’s 22,000m2 sports playing field construction at the Priory Academy LSST we installed an attenuation tank. The attenuation tank, a modern soakaway system used for stormwater attenuation, was 120m3 and made from 480 soakaway crates.
Notts County FC Football Pitch Renovation Update
In May 2011 Fineturf completed the annual renovation of Notts County FC’s first team pitch. The work involved removing the existing surface, rotavating and power harrowing, fibre sand spreading, final ground preparation and surface installation with Limagrain MM60 sports grass seed. Notts County FC End of Season Football Pitch Renovation
In May 2011 Fineturf returned to Notts County FC to complete their annual football pitch renovation. Fineturf have worked closely with Notts County FC for a number of years during which we have developed an excellent relationship with head groundsman Gregg Smith and a thorough understanding of the pitch usage and performance.
Thorpe Wood Golf Course
In March 2011, Fineturf and business partners Lakeland Earthworks began work on a new golf green construction and golf tee construction for the 14th hole. The club had plans to build a new driving range on the old 14th green, hence the reason for the new construction and green relocation.
Priory Academy LSST
This month Fineturf commenced work on a sports field construction project, for Balfour Beatty, at the Priory Academy LSST in Lincoln. The completed project will include 22,000m2 of natural turf sports pitches; containing 3 football pitches, training grids and a full size artificial athletics running track.
