Balfour Beatty hosted a sustainability day at Elland Road on Wednesday 3rd November. The event was to raise awareness of the sustainable products, methods and working practices used throughout the Balfour Beatty supply chain network. From fully recycled and recyclable products, to carbon neutral and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.
Fineturf were proud to demonstrate to Balfour Beatty and its supply chain our sustainability methods in respect to our sports pitch construction works. We showcased our project at the City of Lincoln Academy School in which we successfully completed phase 1 earlier this year. The project involved the remediation of an old land fill site to create over 80,000 m2 of sustainable natural grass sports pitches for use by the school pupils.
