Cameron Clark heads to Lincolnshire this week looking for a hat-trick of wins in the Fineturf Lakeland Midland Pros Championships.
But the Moor Hall pro admits his lack of competition could count against him.
The two-day event, the oldest professional golf tournament in the world, is being staged at De Vere Belton Wood Hotel starting on Wednesday [August 24].
A gruelling 36 holes lie in wait on the opening day with another 18 holes on Thursday to decide who will take top prize while bolstering their chances in this year’s Midland Order of Merit, of which this is the penultimate round.
Clark took the honours in both 2009 and 2010 and is looking forward to the challenge.
