Effective drainage is essential in maintaining a good playing surface and helps to avoid the cancellation of fixtures due to water logging, reduce compaction and improve soil structure. This year has seen Fineturf install thousands of metres of sports pitch drainage, more than any other year, mainly on new football pitch construction projects.
The LDCA, Land Drainage Contractors Association, are a national standard setting organisation who publishes guides and specifications on the installation of sports pitch drainage. As new members of the LDCA, Fineturf, undertake work to these specifications and guidelines and to the requirements of the LDCA Quality Assurance Scheme.
